Morocco, located in the western region of North Africa, is a mountainous region flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Discover the eclectic natural, cultural and historical heritage of the country affectionately known as “the Land of the Distant Sunset” with an enchanting 10-day, 9-night stay. An experienced French-speaking guide/driver will accompany you on a magnificent 1,750-kilometre journey across breathtaking landscapes. His intimate knowledge of southern Morocco will ensure that you enjoy off-beat experiences on roads less travelled. Places of interest include: the historic city of Marrakech, the vibrant “red city” souks; the region’s natural wonders (including the Atlas mountain ranges, the Todgha Gorges, Saharan tracks, the Merzouga dunes, The Valley of Roses, Draa River, the Fint Oasis) and historical cities, towns and monuments (that include the Télouet Kasbah (a Berber-style citadel), the ksours (fortified villages) of Taourirt and Ait-Ben-Haddou, the towns of Taroudant, Taznakht, Taliouine and Zagora, Agadir and Essaouira located on the Atlantic Ocean coast.

The final leg of your journey is dedicated to a luxurious stay at the all-inclusive, 5-star Kenzi Club Agdal Medina hotel. This highly-rated establishment, located in Marrakech’s medina (the historical, walled quarter of the city), is a visual feast with its spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains and the olive groves that surround the property. Other outstanding services and facilities include swimming pools, a spa, fitness-centre, games, shows, several entertainment and leisure options.

  • This package offers a number of exciting camping experiences, including: camping under the stars in Merzouga and a bivouac in the desert. It also delivers a wide variety of meals.
  • Tours of several UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the palm grove of Zagora, the Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou and the Jemaa el-Fna Square in Marrakech.
  • A 2-night stay at the luxurious 5-star Kenzi Club Agdal Medina hotel, comprising a remarkable variety of up-scale facilities and services: a shuttle to Marrakech’s city centre, laundry services, children and teen clubs, babysitting services, shops, a hairdresser, beauty salon and a variety of traditional hammam and oriental treatments.
  • The Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta was said to be the greatest traveller of all time. The celebrated Muslim explorer, born to a family of Berber Islamic judges (qadis), reportedly travelled 120,000 kilometres and visited over 40 countries (five times the distance of Marco Polo). He claimed that he lived by the rule “never travel the same road twice”.
  • According to UNESCO and Guinness World Records, the University of al-Qarawiyyin in the city of Fez, Morocco, is the oldest operating university in the world. Founded in 859, it was initially run as a madrasah until it was incorporated into the state university system in 1963. It is still considered Islam’s leading spiritual and educational institute. It also houses the world’s oldest library with a collection of 4,000 ancient Arabic manuscripts and texts, which includes a 9th century version of the Quran.
  • The Sahara Desert covers 25% of the African continent, spanning approximately 9 million km² across 10 countries. It is almost 13 times the size of France. Despite the common belief that the desert is made entirely of sand, only 20% of its surface is covered by ergs (large, sprawling sand dunes), the other 80% consists of mountains, hamadas (elevated rocky plateaus), regs (pre-historic remains of sea and riverbeds, that consist of red, black or white gravel/sand) and oases (a lush, water-rich area). You wouldn’t think that the Sahara, which means “desert” in Arabic, was once a thriving green space, covered in forest, lakes, rivers and a host of endemic species, a short 10,000 years ago.
  • You are eligible for a full refund should your trip be affected by Covid-19 restrictions. Credit notes do not apply.
