Kenya is the scene of the most important annual migrations of herbivorous wild animals in the world. This country is the ideal place to observe animals in the wild. Its large plains dot the landscape as far as the eye can see in a symphony of colour, making for breathtaking scenery. This is a wild and untamed country, dominated by the Big Five – the lion, the elephant, the buffalo, the leopard and the rhinoceros. Your tour in Kenya will take you to the wilderness sanctuaries of Amboseli National Park with its views of Kilimanjaro Mountain in neighbouring Tanzania, the Maasai Mara National Reserve where wildebeest cross its plains during the annual migration, the Crescent Island private reserve, and Tsavo East National Park, the largest protected area in the country.

Accompanied by a Maasai guide, you will experience the thrill of an authentic walking safari and view animals in the wild at close range. You will visit Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake that forms part of the Great Rift Valley where you will maximize your chances of viewing hippos, as well as admire the large number of a variety of birdlife. The program also includes a visit to a school to meet the local youth and then to a tea plantation to learn how Kenyan tea is grown, picked and processed. You will spend the last two nights of your Kenyan adventure in a 5-star hotel located on the beach where you will be able to enjoy the white sandy beaches of Diani, bathed by the turquoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

From 2,949 per person, for a duration of 10 days and 7 nights. Non-contractual information as of 29 March 2024.

Departures from Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Paris.

  • The wilderness and breathtaking scenery ; the richness and diversity of wildlife
  • The combination of walking and driving safaris on which to make memories; the cultural and leisure activities when meeting the Kenyan people
  • The large number of meals included in the tour ; the comfortable nights in lodges and hotels rated 3, 4 and 5-stars
  • As with humans, the female species of wild mammals in Africa live longer than males. The opposite is true for birds, where males enjoy a longer life expectancy on average. According to an extensive study, chromosomes and DNA seem to play a fundamental role in the longevity of animal species and the observed differences between males and females.
  • Kenyans are world-renowned for their athletic prowess in long-distance marathons. One ethnic group from the Rift Valley stands out: the Kalenjins, known as the “running tribe”, whose extraordinary athletes have amassed 40 per cent of the medals in various endurance running events since 1980. Their slender legs, their propensity to live at relatively high altitudes in the highlands of central Kenya, and their natural resistance to fatigue all contribute to the Kalenjins’ supremacy in middle and long-distance running.
  • Contrary to popular belief, it is the termite colonies and not the herbivorous herds in the African reserves that gobble up the most plants and vegetation. In the same vein, the large carnivores of the savannah are also not the ones that consume the most meat. That title too belongs to the ants.
  • You will have full board from lunch on day two to dinner on day seven and breakfast on days eight and nine.
  • Visa fees are not included. You may tip guides, park rangers and drivers depending on your level of satisfaction.
  • There are no mandatory vaccinations or preventive treatments for travel to Kenya, although it is advisable to make doubly sure before your departure. Only a negative PCR test will be required before boarding (this must be done in a laboratory capable of issuing TT codes).
