You will fall under the spell of Havana while staying in a 5-star hotel facing the Caribbean Sea. One of the perks of your Havana adventure is a free shuttle service to the Old City where you will explore the architectural wonders, colonial heritage and hidden treasures of La Habana Vieja (Old Havana). A local guide will accompany you on a walking tour through the heart of the Cuban capital that will take you to the four main squares of the city: Plaza de Armas, the city’s oldest plaza dating back to the early 1520s; Plaza de la Catedral, home to the Cathedral of Havana; Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, a public square in the Old Havana district; and Plaza Vieja, the former site of bullfights, executions, and fiestas watched by the wealthy citizens of Havana from their balconies. You will also visit the municipality of Regla, Che Guevara’s former headquarters; the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña; and the Christ of Havana sculpture of Jesus of Nazareth by the Cuban sculptor, Jilma Madera, which stands on a hilltop overlooking the bay of Havana.

At the hotel you will be accommodated in a spacious 46 sq. m room with a terrace from which to view the city of Havana. Your room is beautifully decorated, and your stay will be made all the more comfortable with air conditioning, quality bedding, LCD satellite TV, electronic safe, minibar, coffee maker and daily coffee service, iron and ironing board, bathroom with a tub, hair dryer and toiletries. There are also three freshwater pools, including a children’s pool, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. The hotel has several bars and restaurants, a sauna, massage service, and a fitness centre with an aerobics instructor.

  • The rich Cuban culture, the beautiful beaches, the lively nightlife, the atmosphere of the Old City, the abundance of museums and monuments, and the architectural heritage of Havana.
  • Apart from breakfast, you can take advantage of the hotel’s many facilities, and the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea.
  • Enjoy the cultural outings and the guided tour that allows you to discover Havana in a novel way; the free shuttle service to Centro Habana, and to the Malecón esplanade and sea wall stretching for 8 kilometres along the city’s coastline.
  • According to the architect Fabian Martinez, the city of Havana is home to more than 100,000 vintage American cars. This number represents the largest concentration in the world of American vehicles manufactured in the 1940s and 1950s. Today, the original engines of many of these vintage models have been replaced with more economical Japanese engines. Another interesting statistic is that there are as many Cubans living in the city of Miami in the U.S. as there are in the city of Havana.
  • The Cuban capital is home to the Christopher Columbus Cemetery (El Cementerio de Cristóbal Colón), established in 1876 in the Vedado neighbourhood. Situated on 570,000 square meters, it is one of the largest cemeteries in the world and contains many magnificent mausoleums and intricately sculpted memorials; The Miraculous (La Milagrosa) tomb is the site of a mother and her baby who were found in perfect condition 13 years after their burial. In another, a man demanded to be buried standing up, armed, with a 100 Cuban peso bill in his pocket.
  • The daiquiri is an alcoholic cocktail made with white rum, sugar and lime created in Cuba. It was Ernest Hemingway’s favourite drink which he enjoyed without sugar, a double dose of rum, maraschino liqueur, and grapefruit juice in the bar El Floridita in Havana. This daiquiri is named the Hemingway Special, or Papa Doble, because the writer was affectionately called “papa” by Cubans.
  • In case of Covid-19 restrictions, you will receive a full refund (no credit). The cost of the application fee is excluded from the cost of the tour. Proof of medical insurance must be given to the Cuban authorities (a certificate requested via the internet in connection with a Visa or Mastercard credit card is sufficient); a certificate can also be obtained from a Cuban agency upon arrival.
  • All passengers 12 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 upon arrival in Cuba (presentation of Health Pass / Vaccination Certificate). You must also have a PCR test less than 72 hours old (antigenic tests are not accepted). In addition, an online form must be completed by you within 72 hours before your arrival on Cuban soil.
  • For an additional fee, your in-room minibar can be replenished daily with water, soft drinks, beer and other beverages. The hotel has several restaurants and bars offering a number of different services such as buffets, gourmet cuisine, light meals, à la carte dishes, snacks, afternoon tea, piano bar in the evening, broadcasting of sports events, a wide selection of cocktails, private cellar and cigar sales.
