This major site in the American West is owned by the Navajos Indians who live on the lands of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Antelope Canyon is distinguished from other geological formations by its wave-shaped structure and its high photogenic value. This monumental sandstone sculpture is the fruit of millions of years of water erosion. The red shades of the gorges are only explored on a guided tour because they can suddenly be flooded.
