The land of golden pagodas

Recently opened to tourism, Myanmar is world famous for the archeological site of Bagan. Its temples, pagodas and sanctuaries dot the landscape as far as the eye can see. This Southeast Asian country with a strong Buddhist majority (90% of its population) not only has a remarkable religious heritage but also magical landscapes (islands, beaches, mountains, rivers, lakes and forests). The smiling welcome of the inhabitants is to be plebiscited.
