Botswana is one of the few countries in the world that still has wilderness areas away from major tourist destinations. With no access to the sea, this predominantly desert country has one of the most diverse biotopes in the world. Its unique fauna and flora live in one of the most prosperous, stable and virtuous countries in Africa. Its Bantu population with a very low density (4 inhabitants/km²) has given its name to Botswana ("Land of the Tswana").
